The Cistern/Studio was created in conjunction with the Habitat for Artists collective project, which builds small-scale outdoor studios for artists to use as communal temporary workspaces. In this project, installed at Spire Studios, in Beacon, I altered the roof, exterior, and the interior surfaces of an existing outdoor studio space, transforming it into a rain supplied on-site source for non-potable water, creating a sculptural and architectural structure that functions as a collection and distribution center for shared natural resources.
